The core of the house dates from 1750 with several later additions. The house was enlarged to service entertaining and included an Orangerie, entrance porch and hallway. Several spaces were knocked together to enlarge rooms, and the second floor was raised by a meter to create additional ‘attic’ bedrooms.
As well as undertaking the full interior architectural design, the project grew to cover all the decoration and furnishing, and we were commissioned to amass the furniture, art ant antiques over several years.
The centre of a country sports dynasty, the house was designed to be welcoming, relaxed and practical.
