Shooting Lodge

Set in The Scottish Borders, a former shoot lodge on the estate of the Duke of Buccleuch, followed by a period as a hotel, the property was purchased along with a substantial amount of land and a farm to return it to its origins as a shooting lodge and working Estate.

A late 18th century building, it required total refurbishment, plus the addition of a wing as the home of the estate manager.

Started in 2007, and taking two years to complete, the house now is made up of a Drawing room, library, dining room, along with five bedrooms and bathrooms.

Decorated in a simple, modest, style to reflect the use of the property as a walking, shooting lodge it had to be practical and provide instant comfort and relaxation.
