The Art of Luxury

A snapshot of the details in our Eco Country House project
When discussing the interior of a 25,000 sq ft country house complete with an indoor pool and a dining room to seat 40, the word “luxury” is naturally used in abundance. But in the age of #LuxeLife how does one achieve a space truly deserving of the word?
There are many definitions of luxury, and not surprisingly, it’s highly subjective. In my view, luxury is defined as something of great comfort and elegance; it is also the points of contact between different planes and materials. no matter how small. The seams between fabrics, the fixing of a handle to its door or the lining of a pair of curtains – it is these junctures that demand thought and where well-conceived detailing can create true and lasting luxury.

Finished in London for the day, heading back up to Chester for a much needed day in the office tomorrow. Wading through a pile of paperwork never seems so bad sat in this quiet corner with a coffee and a croissant
